Aha! You're talking about exisential playwright Jean de Sartre, a philosophical genius and personal favorite o' mine. I read on the back cover of No Exit and Three Other Plays that in 1960, he was offered the Nobel Prize for Literature and declined. I always wondered why until now. So, thank you!
