Jaejoong stated, “A lot of time has passed. The time we’ve spent apart might have created misunderstandings, but as for us, a lot of that has passed. I just hope for us to all meet again. Yunho and Changmin appear in my dreams often. Once, all three of us dreamt of them at once.”
He continued, “I still don’t keep in contact with Yunho and Changmin. Please let us contact them.”
Jaejoong remembered saying that during the "In Heaven" press conference. He held a strong face, resisting the tears that were hanging at the tip of his eyelids. He looked at the crowd, the sea of reporters staring back at him. He wanted to see one face. That face belongs to Jung Yunho.
When they were in TVXQ, Jaejoong and Yunho were so in love. The world seemed to revolve around each other and nothing mattered. Then one day, Jaejoong left with Yoochun and Junsu. And since then, time seemed to have stood still. Jaejoong's crazy hallucinations got wilder and wilder, wishing, dreaming, imagining Yunho was beside him.
Jaejoong caught sight of a face in the crowd. "Yunho?" Jaejoong went. The person bearing that face turned and walked away. Jaejoong got up and chased after the person, but that person had successfully avoided him.
"Hyung, are you okay?" Yoochun asked. Jaejoong's tears lingered on, waiting to come out.
"I'm....okay..."he answered weakly.
But Jaejoong wasn't okay. He never was.

Yunho was prepping up backstage for the 2011 Hallyu Dream Concert. Stylists fussed all over him, the tv bursting with loud music.
Yunho smiled. He thought of the times when the original TVXQ would prep for concerts. Yoochun and Changmin fooling around, or pulling Junsu's hair for fun. Jaejoong would be next to Yunho, waiting for him to be ready.
His heart ached when he thought of Jaejoong. His beautiful lover....whom he hasn't seen for 2 years. The tv played JYJ's commercial for LG, and Yunho smiled.
How are they doing,he thought.Seem to be doing well. Gosh Jae looks so thin......
Yunho bit his lip. Jaejoong was smiling. The same smile he smiled whenever Yunho was there. Yunho used to smile back too.
"Alright! You guys ready?" the manager asked, ushering Yunho and Changmin out. "Go out there and smile, Yunho! Don't be so morbid!"
But Yunho couldn't. He didn't have a reason to smile anymore.

Jaejoong sat in his tub, painting circles on the edge with his hand. The usual soak in the tub has never felt so empty to him. He looked at his hands. They looked so....empty as well.
Jaejoong got up and stared at himself in the mirror. He looked...empty. Jaejoong felt empty. He clutched the edge of the sink and a prayer chorused through his mind.
Please. Let me see him again. Dear God...please.
Jaejoong grabbed a towel to wipe his body. He stared at his naked reflection. He felt empty and he looked empty. He grabbed one of Yunho's old T-Shirts and put them on. He laid on his bed and snuggled under the duvet, pretending Yunho was there.
It was a weak effort, but perhaps the pain will go away.

Poseidon was a grueling TV show. Although Yunho was honoured to be on the show, he had never been so physically tested and exhausted before.
To be honest, his manager, including Changmin was shocked when he said he wanted to do Poseidon. He knew it was a tough show, and they were already so busy with other projects in Japan.... and still he wanted to sun around Korean Harbour and beat up bad guys.
But there was method behind Yunho's madness. He wanted to feel pain. Physical pain that is. Because the physical pain is easier to handle than emotional pain. When the intense physical pain swallows him up, he'll stop thinking about Jaejoong. He'll stop dreaming about him, he'll stop missing him, stop missing his laugh, his kiss, his smile.
There was a fail in his plan. It didn't make him stop loving Jaejoong. And Yunho didn't think anything could. This was why some people cut themselves. Physical pain is nothing compared to emotional pain.
It was a good effort, but the pain didn't go away. It found it's way back.

Jaejoong knew that the lighting director of Protect The Boss worked on Poseidon. Jaejoong drove to the Poseidon site late at night. It was a big risk, but he wanted to see Yunho. Even a glimpse of him was enough.
"Jaejoong-shi, what are you doing here?" The lighting director Mr.Lee greeted him when the car drove in.
"Is Yunho here?" Jaejoong asked. Mr. Lee pointed inside the Korean Harbour. Jaejoong walked and bumped into an old friend, Choi Siwon.
"Omo! Jaejoong!" Siwon exclaimed.
"Siwon!" Jaejoong hugged Siwon tightly. He hadn't seen his fellow SM trainees for such a long time.
"Yunho, is he here?" Jaejoong asked, his heart racing in anticipation.
"I'm sorry hyung, you missed him. He just went...there he is, in that car!" Siwon pointed to a black sedan that was pulling out of it's parking spot and driving away.
Jaejoong dashed towards the car, but it was too late. Yunho's car had driven off. Jaejoong stared at the car, his body slumping towards the wall.
Jaejoong went home. He sobbed and sobbed the whole night. Only one word escaped his mouth. Yunho....

Yunho sat in the car, massaging his aching leg. He was exhausted and in pain. His driver then spoke up, "Sir, just 10 minutes ago, I saw someone chasing our car."
"Who?" Yunho asked.
"A man. Black hair, t-shirt, jeans. He had a tattoo across his chest."
Jaejoong...
"Turn the car around!" Yunho ordered.
"But sir..."
"Now!!" Yunho barked angrily. The driver gulped and turned around. They drove back to the site of Poseidon and Yunho got off the car.
"Siwon! Jaejoong...where is he?" Yunho asked, shaking Siwon's shoulders.
"He....left."
"What?" Yunho stared in disbelief.
"You went off. He couldn't catch you. He left." Siwon uttered each word carefully. Yunho dropped his hands and turned around.
He walked back to the car, tears falling. He sat in the car and sobbed. Only one word came out. Jaejoong...

Jaejoong was walking around town past midnight. He couldn't sleep.
He paused at a corner of the road and took in the scenery around him. The air was crisp and cool, the scenery around that corner was achingly familiar.
It was here at this corner that the Banjun Drama, Dangerous Love was shot. That infamous scene of Yunho confessing to Jaejoong was shot here. Even though Yunho's real life confession was much later, it was because of this scene that they realised they were in love with each other.
Jaejoong smiled. He walked a little bit more and turned. He stood in this spot, leaning against the red phone booth, as Yunho confessed to him. There was no phone booth, as that was just a prop for the show, but he remembered that place well.
He closed his eyes. Maybe when he opens his eyes, Yunho will appear.

Jaejoong opened his eyes. A figure walked up to him. Jaejoong's eyes widen.
His face frozen.
The man of his dreams had appeared.
"Yunho......" Jaejoong whispered.
Yunho's eyes grew wet. He ran and hugged Jaejoong. His hands roamed all over, making sure he was not sure dreaming. "Jaejoong....." Yunho chanted.
Jaejoong cried. He hugged Yunho and cried. Yunho looked into Jaejoong's beautiful eyes. Those eyes took him in and overwhelmed him, the same way they did years ago.
"You....you were there....press conference." Jaejoong stuttered
" Yes,Jaejoong....after all this time.....I've found you...." Yunho said softly.
"Yunho...I love you."
"I love you too Jaejoong. I always did." Yunho said, leaning to kiss him. The kiss overwhelmed the two boys, and they kissed like they have never kissed before. As night grew old, the boys stood there, kissing and feeling each other's warmth.
The first time they kissed was to apologize, the second time was to make up, the third time was to start all over again.
A new YunJae love story has started at the same place the old was created. Perhaps this new one will be even better.
