Two days in and still surviving
Wow. Two days down and I'm still surviving the boys being home. I think all three of us are bored out of our minds though. lol I finally have a little bit of money to take them to do something, and there's not much to do. Was going to take them to a movie today, but nothing geared for kids is playing. WTF is up with that?? So I took them to McDonald's instead and let them play for an hour and had lunch. Mason played his heart out, ate all his happy meal, and then came home and napped for two hours. Tom Tom on the other hand, did not eat very much at Mcd's and brought it home and played the damn video games the whole time. Then we headed for Walmart and got their hair cut. They look so handsome!!!
Think tomorrow we might go bowling. Our local bowling alley has a Glow Bowl on Sats at 3:00PM I think they will enjoy that. Especially since they both bowl better then I do. lol I love doing things like that with them! My mom nor dad ever got to do cool things like that with me when I was little. They were always working to support us, or didn't have the money too. Back then I was always so mad and bitter about it. But having grown up, I realized, they did what they had to do to take care of me. And I love them for it. But I want my boys to look back with fonder memories. Plus sometimes I think I'm trying to fill the void for their dad being so far away and getting them very little. Is that wrong of me to do that?
And speaking of their dad... He mailed them their movie that they left up there this past weekend. Got here in like two or three days. HOWEVER, that child support check he SWEARS he mailed.... Ummmm yeah, you guessed it. Still has yet to show up. Go figure huh...lol I give up. It's all good. I will start getting paid through the state of Missouri again the week after next. And they are taking extra out for each payment to make up for his arrears. Works for me..lol
