lovely Christmas... how I am glad you are over...

I love Christmas, but man is it exhausting!!! I am so happy that it happened and I got to see everyone under the sun and all... but I am so happy that I am returning my house to normal conditions and all my money isn't being spent. Do you know that I haven't gone grocery shopping in like two months?? That's right, everything I have eaten lately a hs been prepared by some restaurant or my mom. Christmas wiped me out. We got so many presents and we were so blessed this year. I didn't really know what I wanted for Christmas but I am happy with everything I got!

I started the renovation today. Hopefully, by New Years, my house will be in a good condition. I have got to get the guest room cleaned out because Becky is getting the furniture and as of now, it is still packed full of my crap. Plus, we got baby stuff steadily coming in. I am running out of room!

We got my parents Tivo since they are always watching ours. I knew it was a gift they would actually use. And sure nough, they are hooked... hehe.

Funny side story, my mom and dad are in Winter Haven visiting my grandmother, great aunt, and great grandmother for the holidays and my g-grandma's biopsy appointment. Well, my dad ran into my birth father today. My mom sent me a text message saying "your daddy just ran into your daddy" lol Well sperm donor dad was hobbling... and since he is only 46, they were curious to why. Apparently, he got hit by a semi while wandering down the road going to a doctor's appointment. Many parts of this statement makes me laugh. First, who gets hit by a semi and lives to tell the tale and the only real damage had is that you have a wobble in your step. Second, where is your car??? I told my mom how lucky she was that he left her when he did. I am sure at the time it sucked because she was 7 months pregnant and all... but seriously, she really made out on that deal! He left her because he couldn't handle the pressure of being a dad at the age of 19 but then had 5 other kids... and my half brother is only 11 months younger than I am... hmmm. Can't feel bad for the man. Anyway, made me realize how grateful I am for my dad and how he stepped in to take care of me and my mom when he didn't have to. He's a great man!! As for sperm donor dad, he's still trying to find himself... my advice to him is to use sidewalks!
