bad luck bertha (aka cortnye teaster)

i get a phone call while i am trying to wash the mirrors in bathroom. cortnye's car is tore up. go get her and daniel. i can already tell she is stressed about her car....*smiles*. anyway have to call roll-back to come get it. take her to get jon's truck, come home un-load food outta ken's truck (jon's dad). phone rings. i don't even say hello...gonna tease bertha (cortnye) about car. i say "don't tell me you tore up another car." she says " i don't know whats wrong with it." bertha's (cortnye) stress is about to fall off the edge. i know she doesn't think it's funny, but i gotta tease her about it....2 cars in 1 day. so i call roll-back guy to come get truck first. *giggles* poor baby. then go get her car. because i don't want her car left in gaffney all night. honestly ya'll i don't know how long i can hold off laffing at bertha(cortnye). i couldn't get mad about both cars being tore up. i know it wasn't her fault, but she felt so bad as it was. yea i am upset cars are messed up... but shit happens. things tear-up like that. but ya'll should have seen the poor bertha's (cortnye) face when i pulled up. she looked 5 yrs old again, trying to figure out what had gone wrong with her life. i wanted to laff and cry for her.

on the subject of racheal, she's 5. plenty old enuff to ride bus. cortnye road the bus for over 2 hours every morning and evening. because we didn't have 2 cars then. she didn't like it, but she was fine. i don't think it would hurt racheal to ride bus all the way home all the time. wouldn't hurt daniel's mom to walk to end of driveway to get racheal off bus for 1 day.instead of hiding in her house and expecting others to carry her load for her. his mom is a grown woman and needs to act like one. yes, i have issues with his parents. because i believe our duty as parents doesn't stop when our kids turn 18 yrs old. when we have our children no matter how mad they make us sometimes...i don't think saying well your 18 now...get out, your not my responsibility anymore is right. when bertha (cortnye) is 90 and i am 110 i'll still be there for my child. if a child has problems i believe as a parent you should be there for them no matter what they did.
