look! my arm can fly!
I got my computer! Yaaaay. Type/quality/etc are irrelevant, because all I really care about now is the fact that I don't have to put on winter clothing to go online (or sit under fluorescent lights, which I hate). So... yipee!
Tonight Parth, Kate, Jon, and I went mini-golfing. I am a very talented mini-golfer. *cough* :) But in all honesty, I really did feel pretty damn good about my mini-golf skills after a few rounds in the batting cages. Never mind baseball... fast-pitch softball proved to be too much... but lob me a few slow-pitch softballs and I'm good to go! :) It was fun though, lots of wildly immature jokes about balls and mormons and such.
I worked at 7:30 this morning... NOT cool. Every summer I get my nights and days completely turned around, and become for the most part nocturnal (aka going to bed at 4:30 when the sun is starting to rise, and waking up around 1). I like being nocturnal. It gives me some peace and quiet and productive alone time with which to end my day... plus, every daylight hour I sleep through is one less hour I have to bum around the house watching TLC while everyone with normal day-shifts is at work. It is also one less hour spent with my family, which most days is a very good thing. The point of all that though is that since I'm nocturnal but still had two morning shifts in a row, I got very little sleep and now am very tired. I enjoy playing with my new computer though. And does anyone else just need time (okay, maybe not hours like me, but time) to wind down before going to bed? My mind and body just won't lt me go straight from being out and about to being in bed.
But I think bed is where I have to go now, cuz I'm about to just pass out right here on my floor amongst piles of users manuals and empty shoe boxes (don't ask). Oh damn. I forgot to buy a new toothbrush today. Ohhh well. Goodnight!
