I heart Target!
Like, tons, ohmigosh. (<--- sentence intentionally constructed to make you want to throw up)
But seriously. They have so much awesome stuff! They have this cool mirror/shelf/vase combo thingy that's kinda hard to describe, but it's really cool and I'm gonna buy it. They also have many many school supply and organizational type things in the color scheme I'm currently obsessed with (light green, light pink, and brown). You should have seen me in Target this afternoon, if I hadn't been alone I would have been squealing.
I also went to Kohl's, where they had on display the perfect white canopy thing. Unfortunately they didn't have any actually in stock, but I was happy nonetheless to find one that wasn't either a) $50 like the ones at Linens 'n Things, or b) drowned in pre-teen decorations like luau flowers, pink feathers/fluff, or purple butterflies.
I also went to Best Buy to look for a new computer. After chatting with a friendly, dread-locked employee named Robert who couldn't seem to decide whether he wanted to look me in the eye or stare at my chest, I found two laptops that might work. There's a $200 price difference between them and no one seemed to be able to tell me why (I kinda got the impression that just because I was a girl and by myself they thought I would just say "okay!" to whatever they suggested and hand over my credit card), so I'm gonna go back either tonight or Saturday with my dad or some other male and decide for sure.
Oh! And I bought new gym shoes, cuz there's no way my currrent ones could hold up through another season of marching band. So that's good. A new sacrifice for the alter of ankle-knee.
