Well then, what a week it has been.

I started my new job at Gap, and it seems like it's gonna be really cool. Everyone there is really fun, so it's really a good working environment. Plus I can't argue with crazy-cheap clothes!

Then yesterday/today I was down at Eastern hanging out with Ann, which I'm so glad I did. I hadn't seen her in probably two years, and it was kind of just one of those things that had to happen. It was really fun--we started out with lunch and the mall in Champaign, then headed down to Eastern where we got dinner at McDonald's, went on a crazy hunt for honey (because I can't eat McDonald's fries without honey), then ate on the dock by the lake there (yeah, they have a LAKE!). We also went to see "The Break-Up," which was good, and hung out at a bar afterwards. They have this drink there called "The Zoo" and it's like their signature drink or something... EVERYONE in the bar either has a beer or a Zoo. It's kind of bizarre, although I will admit it is a very tasty drink (kind of similar to Jungle Juice). But a couple of Ann's friends were there at the bar, so we had a fun time hanging out with them. I ended up spending the night (in her very funny apt... they have ghosts hanging from every air vent) and coming home this afternoon. So it was a very nice way to start the weekend.

Today was mostly bumming around, minus a quick trip for pet supplies. It's nice to be here and not be crazy-stressed about school, MI, flute, etc though.

I miss Jon a lot... but I'm not going to whine about that. I can handle a couple months (or days, as it's been so far... sigh...) apart. *stiffens lip*

Oh and Regis and I brought home two new pets, Pfeffernuesse and Clark the dwarf hamsters. My Dad on the phone: "They sound like they should be explorers or something." Me: "That's Lewis and Clark." My Dad: "Oh yeah, maybe that's it". So they're occupying a little of my time as well, in addition to the usual menagarie. :)
