cutting it a little close? nooo....

11:58 am: Finish second final exam paper for 342 (two minutes before they're due)
11:59 am: Email  both papers to professor
12:00 pm: Done with junior year of college! (well, except for one band rehearsal today and two commencement performances on Sunday)

So yesterday Jon and I kind of took a random day-trip to St. Louis. We did pretty much everything we could think to do in eight hours.... ate lunch at Max & Ermas (roast beef, baby spinach, and brie sandwich... mmmm...), went up in the Arch (the view from the top was cool, but the ride up was a lot like a ferris wheel and hence terrifying), walked around the St. Louis Zoo (which is very nice, made even nicer by the fact that we were practically the only ones there), went to Chihuly Nights at the St. Louis Botanical Garden (pretty awesome glass pieces, and very pretty overall), and got dinner at T.G.I.Fridays (cinnabon cheesecake is the best invention ever).

Although I must say one of my favorite parts was the penguins at the zoo. Normally penguins are Jon's thing, but this exhibit was just so cool! The glass of their pool ends at about chin level, so they just swim around right in front of your face. This one penguin kept spinning around and splashing us with his wings, it was so adorable.

So, fun day!

Now to celebrate being done with schoolwork,  I think I'm going to make lunch and watch TLC til rehearsal at 3.

Oh, also, does anyone know of anything fun to do in Arizona? I'm apparently going there with my family next week and as much as I love horseback riding, that's really the only thing I know of to do there. Ideas appreciated. :)
