Abridged weekend wrap up
So this past weekend was the first weekend that I was working an 8 hour shift for C&B and it kicked my ass. I really don’t know what else I can say other then I have to make sure that I get a full nights sleep and a hearty breakfast before going there on Saturdays. I had a great time though don’t get me wrong, but it was something that my body was not prepared for at that time and for the remainder of the day, I was a bit sluggish. It was so bad on Saturday that I did not even turn in my assignment until yesterday. After work, JB and I went to a Bday party that lasted until 3am.. that was because that was the time that we actually left the party, but from what I hear, they were still going on. They had chicken a waffles at 6am.. Meaning that there were still people there.. I am sorry.. Some of the older people could hang longer then I ever could. This was a friends 40th birthday and she went all out. Catering, live band, dance floor… you name it, she had it… I would have had a better time had it not been for the constant go-go music that was playing, it would have been perfect, but to each their own.
I am still in limbo about this job now.. its been officially 6 weeks since I have been waiting to see what is going to be the final resolution about it and they still have not said anything to me. I am at the point where I am considering looking for other positions. Although technically I have the position in Alexandria, they just have not sent me the offer letter yet due to the glitches that were happening with the other candidate. I need to get something soon, moving to Bowie and commuting to Chantilly is NOT going to be the business I can tell you that much. Tomorrow when my boss comes here I am going to let him know that. I am pretty sure that he once he knows, that he is going to try to get me to stay but the only thing that will get me to stay is if they move me to the corporate office, but even then I would still have to drive and that is not something that I want to do anymore. I want to ride the metro with everyone else so I am going to send Aimee an email to see what has been happening…
I need to start making my lunch at night… that would be better then me spending money everyday getting something to eat out here.. all that mess adds up….just gotta get the motivation to do so *sigh*
