I miss her already. I don't know what to do.

...Unfortunately, things like that will happen all too often throughout your life. The most you can do is move on without letting their memory die.

I've never had this happen before...

But, she was like a big sister, and she said I was like her little sister... why would she leave without telling me...?

We've all got to start somewhere.

Perhaps she would have found it too hard to tell you in person. She may have wanted the last thing for you to see was her smiling, not her crying, so you could better remember her as she normally was. Surely she'll send a letter back soon.
