Go Away! (Savemart Center...just pack your bags and leave!)
The god damned Savemart Center has to screw up my life yet again. There was some stupid basketball game the other night, and of course the parking attendants were out in full force. I think the center was a great idea, but the location should have been different. This monstrosity of a building is 200 yds from the Business building at Fresno State. Event nights they completely block nearly all entrances and exits to the parking lot, leaving only the ones open they use to allow event participants to use for parking. I can't believe they allow them to park on the campus. That damned building holds like 17,000 people. Anyway, I have a night class and was on campus taking care of some important BAP stuff when I was told that I was going to have to wait 30 minutes to get to my destination because the game was over and they had to let everyone out. Let me tell you that madness does not even begin to describe the situation. I asked the parking attendant "how the FUCK am I supposed to get to the computer lab?" I yelled at all the cars. No one listened. Eventually I was able to get to where I needed to be. They should have built that damn center over by the Kinesiology department. Those students probably wouldn't even notice and are more likely to go to the games. Business students just don't care about things like that. On top of all of this, I live right across the street from the great and spacious building and when these lunatic sports fans drive down the street they feel the need to honk as if it asserts there power. Heaven forbid anyone should be trying to sleep at 11pm. Well, that is enough of that. I swear I am going to take this straight to Welty. I know he won't do anything, but the situation is ridiculous. But, unfortunately all he can see are $$$ when he looks at the building. Given our financial state on campus who could blame him. I do object to the infringement on students liberties though. I am not getting the education that someone has paid for, and I damn well deserve it!
