Lately Ive noticed that I can infect positive reactions in people just by being positve myself.
Ive also noticed, that when the opposite is true, it makes that person have a negative reaction, creating or helping a downward spiral. The more you feed. For instance, when someone says to you "I think Im getting sick, blah blah blah", and you reply with "Yeah, you might have whats been going around, it starts out just like that, blah blah", it gives that person more reason to believe they're sick. But when this is headed off with a positive reaction, such as "dont worry, its probably just a small cold, sometimes your body just needs to brush up on the immune system" The person then shrugs and goes about their day. If they think more about it, put more energy into it, and focus on whether or not they are sick, they will get sick. If they forgot about it, the body does what it needs to do and moves on. There's no harm in recognizing someone's feelings, but there is a difference in that and feeding someone's paranoia.
