I'm a tea person. I drink pots and pots of it, finding absolute comfort in a steaming cup. I've almost entirely forsaken coffee for this pleasure, turning only to the good old Starbucks when I'm yearning for a nostalgic Gingergerbread Latte or feel like welcoming in the Christmas season with a Peppermint Mocha (Twist).
I drink a couple of cups of tea ever morning, before I leave for school, so I go through tea quite quickly -- a box every week or so. And every time I get a new box, I've been trying to buy something new, something I haven't tried before. I've been working my way through the market's tea section with quite a lot of success, but it wasn't until today that I found a tea that I just couldn't drink.
I'd never tried it before, but it sounded appealing -- strong, full-bodied, unusual. I like strong teas, especially with breakfast. But I just get behind this smoked flavour -- tastes like the smoked salt I bought in the summer, or smoked salmon even. It tastes like camping to me (not that I have much experience with camping). I just can't drink it.
And now I'm tea-less.
