New Years

Another year has gone by, and what? Nothing else but work, an unhappy marriage (and I thought it was fine) and living with 6 people.

As much as I want to say "Yes, it's worth paying over $700 a month to stay in SLO, when we can be living in Morro Bay rent free" it's hard. I'm reminded every day when I go to work that yes, it is very convienent, and yes, I really do like living here, the money side of things is hard to let go. Oh well, I'll work my tail off for th rest of my life to live unhappily ever after.

Sometimes, it is punctuated with bright spots...like aerial and hooping. Sad to say, these are a few that come right to mind. Jake is unhappy cause we don't have enough sex. Actually, let me clear this up...it's because I don't do enough. Yup, it's my fault again. I'm the one who works on average 8 hours a day, comes home then has practice. When I asked if I should stop one of my jobs, the answer was "no, why would you do that?" Oh, to spend more time at home and not quite so tired. In the two days that i had off, Jake was gone for one of those days, and not feeling well the second. I feel like when I do want him, he's just not up to it, or available. I know what he says, that "He's always up for sex" but I'm not going to jump a sick person. Gah, I just feel like even though I try, it's never good enough. I don't think it will ever be good enough until when he comes home from work, I'm here in lingerie holding a pork chop and potato dinner for him. He'll never cook me breakfast again...

Back to bright spots: Dayo and Dom have been amazing. I'm reminded of why I love Jake so much every time I'm with them. Traveling with my mom was wonderful. We still annoy the hell out of each other, but at least we get to do it together. It's more than I can say about my husband. Sadly, he probably won't ever really want to travel, and it's something that I'm going to have to come to terms with.

My resolutions for this year:
Post a bit more. I loved when I did, and I should do it again.
Work harder
Drink less... considering how much it costs.
