Yesterday I had my first 'Womenomics' dilemma. I got a call from an agency (I wasn't expecting to hear from them until January), telling me about a job that starts on January 4, with a salary that pays £3,000 more than my previous job. It's 37 hours per week (how does that work?), with occasional weekend and evening shifts. I spent several hours pondering, waffling, wondering what to do.
Had a flick through the book
drummygirl loaned me, "Womenomics". Looked at Henry. Gave him a cuddle. Decided that I really do want to find a part-time job, and don't have to take the first thing that comes along, no matter how interesting/flattering. Instantly felt better, and had a huge sense of relief. Now I just hope the right job will come along...
