Weird to see that-I did my first ever gig ever, 26 years ago, at the bull and butcher! I was really young, and my dad drove me and my drum kit there in his ancient white van! It was a band called 'the lodge' and they were loads older than me, and all blokes. We played there a few times over a couple of years. I might go!
That might be the worst band name of all time. it's not a pun, it's not even a spoonerism - it's just the same words in an unamusing order. And consider all the potential he had with the surname Tork. Was Torking Heads not available? No wonder he was always the shittest Monkee.
Nope, that's his backing band. His previous band was called The Peter Tork Project. Geez man, have some imagination! Nah, all the girls love Davy. And Micky Dolenz, despite inventing Metal Mickey and possibly being a bit of a stereotypical old-rock-star arse these days, has one of the great pop voices. I loved Peter in the show though, even though he doesn't really do anything. Think I might have to watch Head tonight. What a great film.
Well, I'm a girl, and I love Mike. He was the cutest, had the best voice, and wrote great songs - 'Listen to the Band' is one of the most uplifting songs ever. And he seemed a bit wry - my favourite kind of guy.
Good suggestion! I'll have to add Head to my lovefilm list. Thanks for reminding me.

Yes, I think it is universally accepted that Mike Nesmith is the only Monkee of note.
