Today, was not my day. I wanted to highlight my hair. I wanted to try the copper color highlights(i have done that color before) instead of the blonde highlights. I started at 9am. I got out the kit, and got the gloves on and added one of the solutions to the bottle. Oops! I added the wrong one at the wrong time. But i continued to mix. Well, when i put the solution on the little comb(it comes with a highlighting comb)it was quite runny. That didn't happen before. So there i stood looking at the mirrow with bright pink highlights in my hair. Then i had to wait 1/2 hr. After i washed it out, i looked in the mirror- and Oh you my god- i had pink pink highltights. Wherever the blonde was in my hair its was no pink. I didn't know what to do, and i had to go to work. So i put a red head band on it- which it didn't look that bad- but i was bad. And went to work. Nothing was said.
I just kept saying to myself- that is halloween tomorrow- people have differnt hair color for that day. So i worked at cash, and one of my old hair dressers came through- i asked her what to do about my pink hair. She said wash your hair in lemon juice. That should help lift the color out. Also she told me to use the developing creme in the highlight and wash my hair- and let it sit for 5 minutes- it should get rid of the pink. So when i got home from work at 8pm, michael and i went to the test to wash my hair in lemon juiuce- twice actually. It took out the bright pink highlights- and they look strawberry blonde now. Which is much liveable. It also made my hair quite shiny and brought out the blonde color again. I think it worked. I'm going to get it cut in a few days- therefore most of the color i put in it should be gone.
Thanks for the help Michael!
So in nut shell, I had a bad hair day- and i'm never doing copper highlights myself again!
