Last night Ray and I had the first BIG fight at our new place. He ended up leaving on his bike, and I took off in my car. Then, when we finally met up with each other, we refused to be the first one to say sorry. It is so weird. No, pride should not be that important...but I don't really think that this is a pride issue. Neither of you thinks that you were wrong, so this is just an "agree to disagree" situation. I'd recommend just dropping it. No apologies. Just tell him you love him and you're not mad anymore. He'll probably do the same. And then after you guys are back on comfortable speaking terms, the apologies will probably come out anyway. Good luck, Shells!
