An Open Post for My Baby Boy, Charlie
So, while Charlie was with me these last few weeks, he decided to dye his hair BLUE. Not *my* favorite color ;D but as I told him, who cares, it's not *my* hair. Even Grandy said "whatever, it's HIS hair."
Well, last night he went back to his father who was less than pleased, but seemed to handle it well.
And then...The Stepmother saw It.
::OMG!! THE SKY IS FALLING!! THE SKY IS FALLING!! CATS AND DOGS LIVING TOGETHER!! MASS HYSTERIA!!::
Charlie said She said it looked "fucking disgusting" and that if SHE had done that (shAH! right!! as IF!!) her parents would have SHAVED HER HEAD. And then she stormed up to her room where she stayed for the rest of the night.
oh my!
Charlie says he doesn't care what she thinks, but I know that her reaction hurt him, especially because HER reaction then changed his father's reaction. (No surprise there.)
So, Parents In The Audience, if your 15year old A/B honor student, who has never been anything but a good kid, whose worst crimes are not hanging up his wet towel and leaving his GIANT SHOES laying around, had dyed his hair blue, would YOU have given birth to a bovine and threatened scalping?

ETA: Just had a great talk with Samantha who says that she told Charlie she thought his hair looked cool and doesn't understand why it would bother anyone! Besides THAT topic, we had a WONDERFUL talk, and I ignored six phone calls because I didn't want the conversation to end!! YAY!!
