warm beer, irish whiskey, and potatoes...lots of potatoes
I cant believe that next week at this time I will be in IRELAND!!! I have dreamt of going to Ireland for so long. I have gone through so much in order to be able to go....all of those dumb applications, letters of rec, sending transcripts, the endless meetings with my advisors, running around getting a few dozen signatures.....yet it hardly seems real to me. That whole time I knew I was working towards something and now that something is finally here. I am starting to pack or atleast organize today. I have decided to go backpacking through europe for 3 weeks after my program is over. So that means I wont be back until august 20th or so. I dont think I am going back to Concordia University when I get back. There I said it. I was supposed to transfer to Concordia in Portland...I got into the program and everything...and filled out all the necessary paperwork and picked my classes...I was looking for a place to live close to campus and everything. Then Concordia Irvine decided that I couldnt go. So I am stuck here. My heart was so set on going to Portland that I cant imagine not going. So after a month or so of thinking about it I think I am going to portland just to live there for a bit. I will come back and finish school, I just dont think I can do it right now. This isnt just some random venting thing either....I have already told my parents. It is real. I am preparing myself for Concordia though...just in case I get back from Europe with a change of heart...but I dont think that will happen.
