Titanic Day.
Yup, it's December 19th, thus Titanic Day (the day Titanic came out back in 1997). Like I've said every year, Jenna and I always said we'd watch Titanic every year on this day, but I know for myself, I can't this year. My mom doesn't have Titanic! (Ahh!) I have two copies (VHS and DVD), but they are both at my apartment in IL. Ah well. Maybe I'll make Shane watch it with me when I get home. He'll love me for it. (He's NEVER seen the movie.)
Yesterday, again, went as planned. We brought my grandma to the Kansas City Symphony holiday show thing. It wasn't bad, just not that good either. I'm spoiled, according to my parents, because I compared it to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular which I've seen A BUNCH of times! But nothing compares to the Rockettes, I'm sorry.
It was interesting as well because we had my grandma and her walker. We realized how crappy the theater was made for people in wheelchairs or who can't really walk. The bathrooms were on the 1st or 4th floor (we were on the 2nd) - and a lot of them had stairs and stuff to get to them. People using the elevator didn't really NEED to. At one point, I got in a fight with a lady who was trying to control the elevators. She wouldn't let me press the down button!
Ugh. But my grandma enjoyed herself, and that's all that matters. I have decided, though, that when I get older... I am going to be active.
Is it sad, too, that I miss Lifetime? I don't miss working out necessarily (though I do), because I can do some of that here, but I miss the actual Lifetime building. It's just so big and has so many options of things I can do. I MISS GOING THERE. :(
Last night I just chilled for awhile and then talked to Shane for about an hour. More good talks. :) I love that kid.
5 more days til Christmas Eve day. 6 days til Christmas Day. Tomorrow my Aunt Beth comes. And in 12 days... I see Shane again! :)
