HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Happy Halloween everyone! I can't believe the day has finally arrived. It seems like it should have been Halloween months ago. But, alas, it is now. Eee. The only thing that sucks is that it's Monday. We don't like Mondays.
So my day yesterday was actually quite relaxing and quite productive at the same time. I finished a lot of the homework that I was planning on doing as well as other homework I wasn't planning on doing. I was also able to interview Shane's dad for a paper that's due at the end of the term, so that was good. :) I took lots of notes on books and stuff... I'm such an overachiever.
The extra hour thing really kept me and Shane going all day yesterday. We kept thinking it was later than it was and we'd get excited when it wasn't that late. Haha, we're such dorks.
Around 2, I headed over Shane's and we hung out for a bit before heading out. First stop was Meijer so I could take out money from the ATM and so Shane could buy a few things. They changed around the entire store, though, and everything is in really weird areas and not even close to where it was before so Shane and I always get lost everytime we go in there now. It's sad. We were trying to find hangers and eventually (after looking around much of the store) decided to ask someone. The first girl told us to go to a section that doesn't exist anymore and the second girl told us to go back where we started. Yeah, needless to say, we didn't get any hangers. It's ok, though, because apparently Shane's parents have a ton.
Then we went to Lifetime. Paid our bill and then worked out for a good hour or so. It was a really good workout. I ran over 2.10 miles and burned like 200 and something calories. Did the ab machine and leg machines... I love Lifetime. Oh, and they played "Landed" by Ben Folds at Lifetime. This excited me like no other. The video kinda sucked, but YAY BEN! The entire time, though, we were thinking about Cold Stone.
As we're driving to Cold Stone, I'm telling Shane about my cravings for Friday's. Then he tempts me and tells me we should go there to eat, even though we promised Shane's parents we'd eat spaghetti with them. We resisted, but it was SO hard. I love Friday's and I miss their food.
We went into Cold Stone and I got the espresso flavored ice cream and Shane got the new cake batter! :) He got a quart with 2 mix-ins of Oreos and 2 of brownies and mine was just 2 mix-ins of Oreos (of course). The Espresso kind is good, but not as good as the Coffee kind. But I had to get it since they are only going to have it until today!
So then we went back to Shane's and had dinner (spaghetti, garlic bread, salad) with his parents and then I interviewed his dad about abortion in Hinduism. THEN Shane and I went upstairs to eat our amazing dessert and finally watch The Ring 2.
Ok, that movie freaked me out. We kinda wished we had rented the first one again because it's been awhile and we forgot what happened. Stuff came back to me though. It was definitely different than I thought and not really THAT scary, but I was like freaking out and stressed the entire time, haha.
After the movie, I sat online looking up the history of Downtown Naperville and my school (which was really cool), playing with the cool Yahoo Halloween thing (I am obsessed with it), looking up stuff on the Naperville Sun about random things going on in Naperville, and looking up how Neuqua ranks compared to other schools. Haha. Good times. And according to Neuqua's website, Nolte no longer works there! HA!
Around 11, I headed back here and came online and talked to Leah, Shane, and Ash before heading to bed. And I'm being tempted currently by two surveys. I may do one of them though.
