Yesterday: Pinhurst and Cityfest
ok, no more stupid whiny lj's. ive learned my lesson with those bitches.
well, ANYWAYS...
today was fairly uninventful, but yesterday KICKED ASS
my dad talked me into going to pinehurst with him to see my mom and sister. i absolutely refused to go on friday, but he said he'd let me drive all the way there (about 2 hours) so, being the driving-loving person i am, i accepted. so i got up at 8.30 and took my medicine, ate cold pizza (favorite breakfast ever). just so you know, i asked my dad if there was time to shower, and he said, "uh no, lets go." so i didnt shower. most disgustingly, i hadn't showered since thursday night. but, i was like ok, i'll shower when we get back. so, i put my hair up so it didnt look nasty and then i put on the green capri pants (like marge's hollister ones) and then my gap tank and gap favorite t. this is officially one of my favorite outfits. well anyways, my dad drove while i put on makeup and read all the hard directions to him (about 30 min) then we pulled over at a gas station in locust (which is wehre margaret's cousins sarah and mattie and della live). i had to pump the gas (gross, i hate that) while my dad went and bought sprites and some kinda snack thing for himself since i dont snack cause the aderoll. so i got to drive from there, which was awesome cause it was windy back roads w/ speed limits of 55-65. we didnt tell my mom and sister i was comin up cause it was spose to be a suprise for mothers day. it definately was a suprise. see, my mom went outta town to sanfransico till next week for business. so, i wouldnt have seen her for 3 days longer than everybody else (she left for pinehurst on thurs). so seeing her was nice. so after we saw her, i drove her and my dad over to the big barn and we ate lunch and i saw zoe and her bf andrew. andrew was really nice, zoe and him are so cute together. zoe and i caught up on things cause thats how we do it, we tell each other everything, but we only catch up like every other month, so we have long discussions on what we've missed out on. well anyways, mom and dad let me drive her and andrew back to the other barn where everyone was. i got to drive them back by myself (whoo hoo.) then i got to drive all the way back from pinehurst to about matthews.
margaret called and asked if i could go to cityfest. originally, my dad had said no, and therefore i hadnt gotten my tickets ahead of time and for a whole lot less. well, to make the story a bit shorter, my mom said yeah as long as she didnt have to drive at night. margaret made things SO confusing, and just about messed everything up. thats just bc thats how margaret is. but i love her, so its ok. anyways, everything got fixed, and i was able to go with her and claire (cool readheaded chick from south.) margaret spent about an hour trying to get ready. why does it take an hour you ask? becuase margarets obsessed with wanting to look like a hippie. and because she kept looking for the earrings that were my idea to start with. she ended up finding them, on her dresser, not under anything or behind anything....dont ask. claire picked us up, and we were on our way to CITYFEST. wow, cityfest was SOOO much fun. (http://www.centercityfest.com/band.asp) we saw lots of ppl there. we ended up hanging out with the south kids though (=/ ) acutally, it wasnt that bad. it was pretty cool. they were all stoned out of their mind. i saw trevor there, hadnt seen him in a while. he was stoned too. HAHA. also, we saw aaron there, very cool. aaron ended up hanging out with us for the rest of the night due to internal conflicts with the grp he came with.
We saw jupiter coyote, particle, g-love and the special sauce, and kenny wayne sheppard. WOW. they were soooo awesome. definately want to get their cd's. esp g-love and particle. overall, the highpoints of the night were:
~ the music/people/atmostphere of cityfest
~ the super awesome dancing 40-yr old at kenny wayne sheppard. he was jumpin and dancin craaaazy. aaron imitated him. VERY funny.
~ the guy with the purple hat and the "hoopa." i'd heard/seen(in a movie) of a hupa before, but seeing someone use it. in broad daylight. in public. WOW. aaron had to explain everything to me haha.
~ turning around to find 2 fat college-30 yr old guys smokin up with a bowl (also in broad daylight in public.)
~ aaron and caroline's "special water" HAHA
~ there was an old gma lady and then a middleaged blk man that were dancing together (her back to his front...were they secretly, or not so secretly, having anal sex? probably)
~ the keyboard-ist from particle looked like jesus, except he had a continous orgasm look on his face the whole entire time he played. aaron also imitated this, which was also VERY funny.
~ while waiting on the roots, aaron and i talked. that was nice. we ended up waiting almost an hour, before giving up and going to see kenny wayne sheppard.
~ watching all the HILARIOUS stoner-dancing kids/adults and then dancing crazy with margaret, claire, stern, others (aaron barely even bobbed his head. upon questioning him, he replied, "i only dance to music i like." but i think he just wasnt as drunk as everyone else there)
~ g-love and special sauce's pussy song. wooooow. that was FUNNY. grls: ive got all the pussy, and u aint gettin none. guys: ive got all the pussy, and you only got one. HAHAHHA wooow.
