Hey, LJ land! Haven't been around much, but I hope to be here more often (aside from keeping up with the friends list). I want to start a Wordpress blog soon, and I really need to practice writing on a regular basis.
Well, I occasionally remember to change my "currently:" info on my profile, and am now going to try making a post about it every time I do. It's just something I have fun keeping track of ever since close friends and family pointed out that they find my fandom "phases" amusing.
Watching: Kuroko no Basuke season 2, Silver Spoon season 2, Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Reading: Allegiance by Timothy Zahn
Playing: Sonic & Knuckles
Listening: Grum,
Dragonball Never Ending Story 2 CD SetCurrently addicted to: eBay, interior decorating
Let me just say that it's tough to be a Kise fan in this season of Kuroko no Basuke. I think he's had a total of five minutes of dialogue in sixteen episodes.
Not much to say about Allegiance, other than I should have read it before Choices of One. Oops. It's a little hard for me to keep focused on it, because I don't have as much time for reading as I would like and a lot of time goes by for me between paragraphs. This is made worse by the fact that these types of franchise-based novels with large casts of characters have SO many things going on at one time, and each chapter goes from like "Meanwhile, Mara Jade infiltrates!" to "Meanwhile, Leia is in a meeting with diplomats!" and "Meanwhile, X-character does something menial that turns out to have significance at the novel's climax when all the plot threads eventually tie together!"
Playing Sonic & Knuckles on the Xbox because one day I just realized that I missed playing Sonic games. I think the last one I played all the way through was Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for the Game Cube. Sonic games (and the comics!) were such a HUGE part of my childhood. But to say that I'm "playing" Sonic & Knuckles right now is a little misleading. I'm currently stuck. In an age where you can now save virtually anywhere, even on old gen games, and get codes for infinite lives and almost any mod imaginable, I'm plain old stuck on a boss. A boss that I defeated when I was in elementary school. Dammit. I've been half-tempted to ask my big brother to come over and help me, just like the old days.
I've been selling some stuff on ebay lately, and it's become a nice source of extra cash. It's also where I was able to find another copy of the DBZ 2-CD set I used to have (the second anime OST I ever purchased, actually!). Not sure at what point I lost the first CD, but I knew downloading the songs separately and copying them to a CD would never do it justice. It had actually been on my ebay watch list for years and it was soooo satisfying to listen to it again.
...Whoa, I think I've become a nostalgia junkie.
