belated swace post is belated
So some friends and I went to SWACE (Southwest Animation Conference & Expo) a few weeks ago and had an awesome time. It was my first time at an actual anime convention. We walked around a lot, took some pictures of cosplayers, bought some stuff, played videogames, went to some panels, met up with a friend of dotiscute and watched some Ralph Bakshi movies, went to the costume contest, karaoke, etc. It was such a fun day!
I didn't buy much, only a Play Arts Kingdom Hearts Cloud figure and a black Yoshi plushie. BUT I was reaaaaaaally tempted by an artist named Andy Kuhn, who was charging $25 to draw any superhero on a paper bag...THROWING UP. I asked if he could do Deadpool, but then I said, "Wait...that wouldn't work because of his mask." And he told me that someone had requested that at Comic Con, so he drew Deadpool barfing WITH HIS MASK ON. The puke was seeping out and making his mask bulge. GROSS. DX

I was like "Hey a chocobo farmer!! :o" and the guy was like, "Hey, you figured it out! :o" Haha.
This AWESOME Saiyuki group was hanging out in the lobby after we came back from lunch.

OM NOM NOM Gloomy Bear puppet munching on my hand. Mark finally snapped him up and I was surprised no one had bought him sooner.
What IS this thing? That is my question to you. Picture looks kinda weird because it was taken with my phone.
This picture again, because it's my favorite! ^^ Me and Mike Sinterniklaas! After his panel we ended up chatting with him for a little bit. When it was time to take the picture he held his hands out, palms up, so I put mine in his and he noticed my engagement ring. And then for some reason he made it the focus of the picture!? He is really a sweet, hilarious goofball of a person. And his panel was HILARIOUS. :D
Me and Ralph Bakshi! I leaned in a little too fast and accidentally bonked him with my head. I was afraid he'd get mad, because he seems really gruff, but he just laughed afterwards and ruffled my hair. XD
