and I feel fine......... thanks to 3 glasses of wine thank you very much to my in laws for leaving the unopened bottle hidden in the back of my fridge!
Yes, I haven't posted in like forever, whoops!
Christmas was nice, poor Emily was sick with some sort of crazy nagging cough/massive nasal drainage/lousy mood thing that kept her from being super social. She didn't eat much of the Christmas Eve dinner, stayed awake for only 20 min. of the family presents event, but did give me and Tom about 2 good happy hours Christmas morning which made it all worth while. She got tons of stuff, duh. This included plenty of things that make noise/sing songs/are overall auditorily annoying.
Some of my fav pics:
Emily's Christmas Eve Outfit (I had to go for something other than red!)
And the Christmas Pajamas she showed off on Christmas Morning
And of course she had to get a Radio Flyer Wagon!
But I did take a few shots with a traditional Christmas dress
And we went to see the National Christmas Tree in downtown DC
And of course we took her to see Santa, which she promptly decided was not what she wanted to do:
And the most enjoyable for me was getting to enjoy Emily's first snow with her!
And here it is New Year's Eve. Tom and I enjoyed filet mignon and shrimp (well, I enjoyed the shrimp). Emily had sweet potatoes and veggies, then decided afterwards that she wanted filet mignon and shrimp and this means the best 1 year old stalker you will ever fine. Nice to know my daughter has good taste in food.
So what does a young couple do on New Years? Well considering we are all recovering from this coughing cold from hell, Emily is sleeping in her crib, Tom is sleeping on the couch, and I am reminiscing on the year while drinking the surprise red wine! And I'm watching Dog Whisperer because the remote is buried somewhere in Tom's napping abyss, and all I can think is "wow Cesar has some crazy fake looking veneers on his teeth!".
So a wonderful New Years to all of my friends and family, and I know 2010 will bring good things to all the people I love!
