Day 11: Day of Endless Meetings!
I seriously had 5 back to back meetings and barely had time to eat lunch. Woooooot. Super busy and then I went to the gym to blow off some steam and had an amazing workout. I love going to the gym at the end of the day. I just hope I can keep it up for the summer! Came home with Laura and Rudy. It was Rudy's turn to make dinner so he baked some salmon and prepped some salad while I cooked rice. It was delicious! We've had nothing but yummy light but filling meals whenever we cook at home. I hope our streak continues! After that I skyped with Fuder and caught up with him for a few hrs. It's been over a week since he's left for Taiwan but it feels like so much longer. Thankfully he got a data plan out in Taiwan so now we can text whenever. i<3texting. thankgoodness for amazing communication! definitely makes me feel more connected with him and even though i miss him like crazy he's always just a text away :)
Day 12: Starting to Get the Hang of Things :D
Today I was very productive at work but was really clumsy this morning. I forgot to take my cell phone out of my pocket so I kept making the alarms go off in security >.< super embarrassing but I was still on time to work and managed to get some work done. Not as many meetings today but still had a few. I was getting a good amt of feedback today about my work so far and everything sounds good. I even heard today that the tech transfer department is looking to hire one more person to help with the heavy load... I wonder if they'd consider hiring me! I'd love to come back. So far this place is awesome and I'd love to be the first KGI grad to be hired straight into the FDA! I guess we'll see how the rest of the summer plays out and if i want to stay in tech transfer. So far I'm liking it, since I get to work with so many departments but I would like to see what the other departments do as well... hopefully I'll get to see in the coming weeks :D After a productive day, I skipped the gym and went to dinner with Laura and Rudy at YoYo Cafe. YoYo Cafe is a Japanese/Chinese/Thai restaurant run by Vietnamese and Chinese ppl XD It was pretty amusing but the place had quite a few asians in it, so they had my seal of approval! The thai food was pretty good, just not spicy AND they make deliveries! Our apt complex is barely a block away so yaaaaay for a backup plan when we're too lazy to make food :D Oh and they had bobba. It was so so, but better than i expected... I just miss champions! after dinner we came back to our apt and I skyped with fuder for a while and caught up on reading... and then i painted my nails and then OF COURSE smeared one of my right figernails but i'll live. wheeeeeeeeee i'm such a girlie girl now! nails painted, makeup and jewelry everyday to work. doubt i'll keep it up when we get back to KGI but haha funny thought.
okay sleepy and not as coherent anymore. time for beeeed! night :)
