Downtown

We went to the Royal BC Museum yesturday and walked around town for a bit. The Royal BC Museum, was lovely, unfortuately it doesn't really compare with CMC, but then again, this museum focuses solely on the West Coast their own history, while CMC is basically the whole nation. The exhibit on the First Nations, was fairly large, definitively larger than the Grand Hall at CMC, this took about two floors and took Rick and I about an hour to go through, and that's with minimal reading, since I really don't like to read Museum signage (bad I know coming from and person that took Museum Studies!) The gift shop was nothing to talk about though, not much in the way of afforadable gifts, they had way too many more expensive gifts and those that were affordable were sooo tacky and predictable I just couldn't bare to buy anything for anyone there.

Walking Downtown was enjoyable. The Dragon Boat festival was going on, so we watched a couple of races down at the harbour, nothing like the ones in Ottawa though. We walked around the BC Legislature, I can't believe that ppl sunbath on the front lawn there! It's crazy, if someone even tried that at Parliament Hill they'd get kicked off in a heart beat.

Supper was at The Old Spagetti Factory. It's basically a spagetti restaurent, as in all they serve is spagetti, with a few exception, like lasenga and children's menu.

4 more days here and I really don't want to go home

I've already cleaned the apartment and done the dishes for today, now I'm really bored!
