Evening all,
I shant ramble about why I have not posted in quite sometime. Plenty of other things to ramble about however.
I have been making new IRL friends left and right, going out and doing things. Hobby related things at that. I have been attending a medi-evil recreations group, with costume making and archery. *beams* yes, I get to shoot at people in heavily clad armour with blunted arrows.
Mostly however I am there for the costume making.
I attended Manifest, yes indeedy, was oodles and oodles of fun. I made some new friends amongst the cosplay people. And purchased twice my weight in merchandise. *blush* Yes, I'm feeling the bunt end of my spending spree as lately I have had a few emergencies which needed money to mend. But you know me, I never leave myself short.
for a really really detailed account of how much fun I had, Just give me a page sometime. I love recounting the event, it's almost like re-living it. *beams*
A few nice job-prospects have opened up. Compliments to word of mouth. Several people I knew, some friends, others just people who know me from places... but basically they know what I am like and know I would be perfectly suited to positions that were opening up in or near where they work.
I am rising to the occasion and applying. I do hope they put in a good word. *giggle*
Oh, one place is working at a Cinema, little hard to reach but not impossible. And hey, working at a Cinema *swoons*. another is a scented Candle store, a really spiffy one too!
Where to begin with my creative ventures...
Well, the author did get back to me. I cannot believe it, but she really remembered me. So much so she sought me out and has loaned me a copy of her book to read and review for her. *swoons* I cannot believe it.
I am still hoping todo my own novel still. I have not touched it in sometime, but the ideas are still there for when I find time. And I know, you really wanna do something you make the time... but with creative writing, it's not so easy to do quality work on command. And I have other issues to resolve. erk, defending myself to myself, nuts. Basically I will get around to it, just so much going on.
oh! I purchased a lesbian romance novel in the hopes that it would meet my bizzare tastes. Who would have thought, no rape, or cheating/betrayal, etc and low sex could be so rare to find it can be classified as a bizzare request?!?!
Well, I found a novel, "Love Spell" by Karen Williams. It was wonderful, plenty of witty dialogue, a lovely story, and well... there was a little sex. But even that was so romantic. *swoons* I'm not such a prude that I don't like reading about sex, but it just seems odd to get a book for that alone. *blush*
Halloween rolls by, and once again I am to miss it.
No-one I know is doing anything/does anything, or is doing it with other people. Getting to know some people who have ties in the goth growd. But apparently many Goths resent people with blonde hair. Weird given I see to have such a gift for designing Goth attire. Oh yeah, the one person I knew doing things Halloween is in with that sort of crowd, and I think it was that group she was spending the time with. *smile* I knew I had a point to that detour there somewhere.
My designing is coming along well, I have gotten a LOT of pressure from well, ... EVERYONE ... *giggle* to making my own designer clothing. Whist I have done a little, I am holding off so that I can do a range of Plush Toys first. I have a special Plush Toy I am designing for Kat. but my main focus in terms of what I shall make for everyone else is by the theme "Halloween". Yes my mind is in Halloween mode.
Could have something todo with my still swooning over Love Spell, which was set during Halloween. Or it could be that I love dark and spooky themes like this, but most of all. I just wanna do SOMETHING for Halloween!!!
Actually I had a request for an outfit to be specialy designed for a girl. An amazingly beautiful girl at that. She has agreed to allow me to get piccies of her in the garment when it's done. I am not making it however, she is having someone else who is more known for doing costume work. But hey, my design! *beams*
Speaking of which, oodles of work todo. I have Plushies to design and make, so I shall drivel on no-more. But I do intend on posting more, which I think will please some.
