So, to sum it up today...We were busy as hell.
We thought we had another day or two to get things finished up around here, but turns out, we didn't. My dad called from the hospital around 11am to let us know she was coming home. Maggie's interview was at 11:15...we got home around noon and my dad and I left for the florist to get hanging plants for mom's room. We got back and he left for the hospital again. I realized that with everything that had to be done, there was no way I was making it to work...and I was right. Dad calls around 3 to let me know that he forgot mom's clothes at home and I have to bring them. I hang around to eat dinner in the diner with my dad and watch my mom walk and get home around 5:45...They got home around 6:30. In between I got other stuff done.
Man, she was really overwhelmed and shocked at all the stuff we got done around here, and now she understands why we were always out of breath when we answered the phone. I think it was all worth it, but now I'm beyond exhausted by all of it. I have to work all day tomorrow and I can already tell that I will have no patience, but I have to admit that the prospect of actually getting my life back together again in time for school is looking mighty nice. Not to mention that I just realized that my birthday is a mere week away (you don't really have to care about it...I just find it funny that I forgot til now how close it is).
Other stuff...Aaron bought our tickets for Ozzfest today so I will probably end up counting that as my vacation for the summer. It'll be nice to be away for a day or two (and being with him is always a plus) and I'm starting to get my going back to school jitters (you know, new school, new people, etc etc). This is where my abnormal level of shyness and inability to look cool in front of people will seriously hinder me for the next few months. I believe we're in for a bumpy ride. But...at least I'm actually maybe going to graduate before I....you know...die. Maybe.
