This year was amazing. A rush of events, color, energy. To bullet a few things:
-Last semester at FSU.
-Graduate School Applications
-Glade 2006
-Internship in Japan
-Graduation from FSU.
-Friends & Family (per usual, always great).
And 2007 is already shaping up to have a lot of adventure: Mexico, being home til August, graduate school in August, plus I'm sure a lot of other great things.
There were a lot of ups and downs, however a lot more ups than downs which is always good.
I see a lot of change, promise and growth for myself and others in 2007. Dream big, achieve bigger. dum spiro spero (a nickel for who knows what that means without looking it up).
Inspire change in others through words, actions, thoughts and being proactive. Take risks, take chances, refuse being stagnant. (I myself definetely need to follow this advice!)
Live. One day at a time if you need to, but definetely live. Take time for yourself and enjoy things that are beautiful (whatever your perceptions of 'beauty' are.) Don't be afraid to rely on faith. Not only in yourself, but in others. We could all suprise each other in these facets.
And for the little/simple things: turn over heads down pennies and make them heads up for a little kid's day to be a little bit brighter, buy a homeless individual a meal or a hot drink to provide nourishment, take pictures with family and friends even if you hate getting your picture taken, volunteer for charity at some point, make a resolution... not a new years resolution -- rather, a new SELF resolution, try something new at least once a month, dance outside in the rain, make a snow/sand angel, take a day trip (or two, or ten :)) by yourself to someplace new, take a trip to the mountains and a trip to the shore, dress up because you want to -- not because you have to, and likewise wear sweats to the grocery store because you just don't care, try not to be selfish, bite your tounge sometimes even if you KNOW you're right, dance, sing, hope, cry, laugh, dream.
good luck to everyone in 2007. hopefully it will be good to us all. create goodness for yourself and others. have faith and inspire.
