(lunch time still) Recap of Christmas!!

Dec 28, 2004 13:45

What a day it was! All the little ones (Colin, Chris, Andy, Sarah, Katie, Kyle, Ryan, Cody, Ben and Chris K., decided to wake me up and drag me out of bed at 6:30am just to see what Santa brought. They didn’t wake up Walker, Jill, Jules, CJ or Chris, but ME! They dragged me out of bed and downstairs to say “Good morning” to the parents. I was seriously half asleep! It wasn’t even fully awake! The first thing the parents did was laugh. They were all like…”Poor Karen, you were their victim this year.” Then the little ones dragged me into the living room to see all the presents Santa had left. Then they wanted to go outside and take a little walk, so I took them out. The parents just laughed again. We came back in at 7:30am, the parents started cooking breakfast and by 8, Jill, Jules, Chris, CJ and walker got up. They came down and were like,”Where’s Karen, how early did she get up?” They walked into the kitchen, “Oh there’s Karen.” The parents were like, “She got dragged out of bed at 6:30am by the little ones to see what Santa left and then they dragged her outside.” They just all started laughing at me. Geez….lol! Walker felt a little sympathetic and was like, “Poor Karen.” And came over and just wrapped his arms around me. What a morning it was!

We finished breakfast, got dressed then went out on the slopes at about 8:45am. Out there till about 11:30am, went back, got some lunch. 12:45pm, we went back out, then around 2:30pm, the parents wanted us to take the little ones to the kiddy slopes and play for a bit. CJ was like, “I feel like little kid again.” Which was true, cause when we were little, we always played on the kiddy slopes and though they were the most exciting slopes ever! Haha! Good times those were!

Later that night, we all helped cook Christmas Dinner. Chris, CJ and Walker helped Katie, Kyle, Cody and Ryan make Christmas Cookies. Jill, Jules and I helped Andy, Ben, Chris 2, Chris 3 and Colin make gingerbread houses.

Then we had Christmas Dinner and Walker’s grandma made the most emotional, but sweetest toast ever! It brought happy tears to our eyes. Christmas dinner was the best, had some really good laughs. After dinner and all the dishes were done, we all put on our jackets and went outside for our annual Christmas snowball fight! T’was fun! Of course Walker had to tackle me at the very end, but we stole some kisses so that made up for it. After, we went back in and took warm showers and all got into our PJ’S. Turned on the fire and all went into the living room and gathered by the Christmas tree.

Before Presents, we always sing Christmas Carols, so this year, Walker pulled out his guitar and played songs on that and everyone sang. Then at the very end, he sang a song just for me! It was the greatest song ever! It was called, “It was meant to be” I about melted there! Then we unwrapped presents probably around 10:30-10:45pm. (We’re different, we never unwrap presents in the morning, we ALWAYS unwrap them late at night) Got a lot of cool things! Since so many people name what they got, I guess I shall too. Walker loved his present, got him a button down shirt from Hollister, Napoleon Dynamite (my mom had to go into town on Tuesday to get it!) Thanks mom! And my family got him a Hollister Track Jacket. What I got: Heart Charm bracelet, Earrings, American Eagle Sweater from Walker and a shirt from Forever 21 and Hollister and A&F from his family. Hollister Hoodie, Hollister Pants, Nalgene Bottle, Roxy Wallet and some other stuff from my family. Aeropostle button down shirt from Jules and two shirts from her family. Slippers and PJ’S from CJ and these really comfy socks from his family. Jill… love her, got me curlers and Victoria Secret undies and a fleece and two shirts from her family. Grandma and Grandpa Kelly got me extra special gift, when I was with them over the summer, I went shopping with them and I remember looking at this one Stuffed animal and I really wanted it but I didn’t have money with me and I wouldn’t let them by it for me and it was going out of stock and somehow they found it and got it for me! I was so surprised when I opened the box and there was the teddy bear!

After opening presents, we all sat around and talked and watched Elf. After Elf, the little ones went to bed and we watched Surviving Christmas to end out Christmas! Christmas was the best this year…and I’m not talking bout the presents. That’s the last thing I care about. Everyone’s just so happy and having a great time and enjoying themselves, it’s WONDERFUL! I love it!
