[The camera snaps on to show a certain blue-tattoo'd monk laying on a mat in the middle of a wide, bright and ornate room that opens to the sky via a balcony. The stone is earthy, and carved wonderfully, and there isn't much in the way of accoutrements around, though there is a glider staff laying near him

What's that? [He looks back at the camera, raising an eyebrow.]

[second_first]

You're loud.

[sweetlittleguy]

Oh.

[He puts his fists together before him and bows.] I'm sorry if I disturbed you.

[second_first]

[She's quiet a moment.]

You're a monk?

[sweetlittleguy]

[He nods.] Yep! Southern Air Temple. [And then he smiles, because he does that a lot and it's the nice thing to do.]

[second_first]

[She doesn't smile back, because she never does.]

Air temple?

[sweetlittleguy]

[Which, he seems to notice, as the smile slowly slips off his face.] Yes. One of the four that make up the entirety of the Air Nomads.

[second_first]

I don't know that story.

[sweetlittleguy]

...Story? It's not a story, it's real. [He frowns slightly.] That's where I come from. The Nomads are one of four Nations. We're all Airbenders - well. I'm different. But I'm still an Air Nomad and an Airbender.

[second_first]

What does that mean? Airbender?

[sweetlittleguy]

That means I have the ability to bend Air. [He frowns, trying to think of how to explain it, but decides on one quick hand movement that leads to a little tornado to twirl, self-sustained, in the air for a moment before disappearing.]

[second_first]

[She watches it. Her eyes widen just slightly, but that's the only sign of her interest.]

I've never seen that kind of thing.

[sweetlittleguy]

Oh yeah, there're Earth and Fire and Waterbenders, too. But I can bend all four. [He grins a little, like he's trying to impress.] I'm pretty good at it.

[second_first]

Really. [If she's impressed, it's hard to tell. She's not exactly emotive.]

I see.

[sweetlittleguy]

Yep, you might say I'm the best bender in the world. [...You'd be right. But he doesn't say that. Even for all his showing off, he's still somewhat humble.] But I don't really use it for anything unless I need to.
