quick update
Wow... it's been a long time since I've really checked livejournal. Sorry to all my friends about that.. I'll have to go back and update myself on what's been going on with everyone.
A little update about myself...
Not too, too much to update about. Life is pretty normal. Coming up on the year anniversary for Jared and I (March 6th). Valentine's day was pretty nice. Jared had a dozen red roses delivered to work. That night he treated me to Outback. :) Afterwards we came back to my house and watched "Convicted". Not a bad movie... not the best, but not too bad.
Jared has been working on pay his school loan off, which should be in April/May. The original plan was to look for a house after that. After thinking it through we are going to delay that (which sucks) but it's for good cause. I'm working on paying off my car. Right now that's the biggest payment I have. I'm budgeting myself so that I can put a good chunk on it each month. With doing that, hopefully I will have it paid off by October/November of this year. In the meantime he'll be able to really put some money into savings which will help the both of us and make us feel more secure if something goes wrong with the house that we have to fix. So that's that.
I applied for a Asst. Supervisor position in my department earlier in the month. I had my interview last Thursday. There were about 4 other interviews since then. Today I FINALLY heard the news..... I GOT THE POSITION!!!!!! :) I'm soooo excited!!! I don't really start until March 6th. In the meantime I'm going to be shadowing the other Supervisors to see how they do things. I'm finally going to get the anchor raise that I was held off on for the longest time (since August). :) I don't know exactly how much of a raise I'm going to be getting, but any raise helps! Hopefully that will come into affect really soon! The fam treated me to dinner tonight in celebration. :) We went to Texas Steakhouse. Good food. They have a great dessert called "Hershey Brownie". It's a brownie with a Hershey bar sitting on top and they warm it up so the Hershey bar melts. Mmm mmm delish!!
On another note, Netflix is a wonderful thing! That is all....
