I used this
recipe for the cookie (i used almond extract instead of vanilla) and this recipe for
royal icing I halved the icing before adding the food color and thinned half to use as a fill color.
Ribs!
I had a big slab of ribs that I figured would be great for our Labor day dinner.
Directions:
Rub ribs with salt ( i used sea salt) and pepper. Put ribs in big pot of water and let boil for about 30-45 mins.
BBQ sauce: This isn't exact measurements, since i normally just eyeball it.
1cup ketchup
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/8-1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1/8 cup vinegar
2-3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1-2 Tbsp of lemon
mix all ingreadients well.
Preheat oven at 350 degrees F. Place boiled ribs on baking pan, brush bbq sauce on both sides of ribs then cover pan with foil and bake for 30 mins. then brush more bbq sauce on ribs, flip it and bake for another 30 mins, uncovered.
