Demoka is right - this is a canon prompt :). I'm not very good at writing Kalicia canon (it just makes me sad) and so I tried something different, and I really hope you won't be angry with me, bepatientimadoc. The Ficathon is still running, so you might get your story eventually.

As I said, I tried something different, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I might be the only person on this planet who likes it :). I created a Kalicia music video where the theme of your prompt is hidden: "4 times Alicia didn't see Kalinda's devotion, and 1 time she did." This is also the dance they do (or that I'm seeing them doing), and that they hopefully will continue until the show's end (regardless of JM's prophecy).

The Good Wife is known as one of the most modern shows on TV, but the story of the relationship between Alicia Florrick and Kalinda Sharma is classic and as old as mankind. It could easily happen in a Greek Drama or in medieval times (with Kalinda as a knight, of course), which is why I chose a music that is modern, yet sounds centuries old (Loreena McKennitt's "Tango to Evora"), and why I kept this clip as simple as possible. It might be that the simplicity and the length of the video (8 mins.) makes it the most boring clip I have ever done - sorry for that! Feel warned, okay?

Thank you for your kind response, bepatientimadoc! I really thought I shouldn't tell anybody about this and only uploaded it because I thought that this Ficathon is also a place for experiments. But your nice reaction encouraged me to post the video on AO3 (of course I dedicated it to you), because this is, after all, my attempt to work on your prompt :). Thank you!

I am going through very methodically R&R'ing fics, but I just watched this and wanted to say while it's fresh that this is a gorgeous, 8 minute primer teaching us how the storyline was methodically leading to an epic love reveal -- EVERYTHING was pointing that direction -- and it has made me A. love you and B. have renewed wtfery at everyone involved in the dropped Kalicia storyline. I have obviously not made peace with this as much as I thought, as I spent the entire time jabbing at the screen going THERE, THERE IS THE EPIC LOVE, HOW AND WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH ARE YOU TRYING TO BURY THIS.

So the severity of my feelings obviously means that you did an excellent job constructing this vid. It's really beautiful -- I love how you show how much of their relationship, even some of the most meaningful moments, was really a thing without words. <3

Oh, thank you, sweetjamielee! It's so good to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Sometimes I think that they stopped the storyline dead in its tracks because it became TOO strong and overwhelmed them. Like Archie said, the characters have a life on their own and maybe TPTB didn't expect things to evolve like this. I can totally see somebody from CBS, or maybe RK or JM, suddenly waking up in the middle of the night, realizing that what they created wasn't what they head in mind and furthermore totally pushes the boundaries of network TV. So they immediately start to fix the problem on the next day. But how can you fix something that is already this huge? Well, if you pretend that it never happened maybe you can fool the audience.

A cannon prompt deserves a string of evidence from cannon.

I worked on this clip two days and two nights (on my last two vacation days) and was so exhausted in the end that I just wanted to upload it and take cover under the carpet. I also think that this counts as something big towards the "JM reads fanfic and becomes a shipper" prompt, as the response to that prompt is that she is sent a link to these 8 minutes, and after that it's a done deal.

And what breaks my heart even more is the way the handled the storyline (and how they're handling - or don't handling - it now). This is definitely the most heartbreaking part. How can you let something this beautiful die? That's not only stupid, that's cruel.
