WAIT WAIT WHAT WHAT WHAT? JM CALLED KALINDA A SLUT???????
Uuuuh, yeah. :-\ To be 100% fair, I didn't actually WATCH the interview, so I don't know the exact context. But the quote is:

Julianna: Of course you want her to scream at someone, you want her to say to both of these people [Josh and Christine] "That slut Kalinda fucked my husband and why the fuck do you want me to be doing a case with her." You know, of course. But that's not the high road.
Josh: Class, baby.

Idk if the "you" she's referring to is herself, or the audience. But if it's the latter, um: no, Jules. That is NOT "of course" what anybody wants you to say. And I've always stood by the notion that Alicia has every right to be angry with Kalinda, mostly because of the secrecy and withholding. But I hate this attitude of blaming the "slut" for your partner's moral/ethical shortcomings. It's a kneejerk reaction to hate everyone involved in the situation that hurt you, but in the end, the GREAT majority (if not all) of the blame lies with the person who made vows of fidelity to you, who had the responsibility to resist their impulses based on that promise and those expectations. In this situation, that person was NOT Kalinda, so I wish JM would get off her frickin high horse about it.

I just...download THIS EPISODE just for the last three minutes.
I will do this once my exam is over and I don't feel guilty about tv. I can't even be TEMPTED my anything new right now, seriously, it's stupid.

LOL at the crossover. Someone suggested a TGW/Lost Girl crossover to me the other day and I laughed for a good 5 minutes thinking of how hard Kalinda would sideeye Bo's detective skills.

Are you still watching/enjoying Once Upon a Time?

Seeeeeriously. JM, your issues are paging you. Plz respond immediately, thanks. I think it's cute how JM is so protective of Alicia, but that's a little too much....

110% to everything you said here. And I do hope (though in vain) that some day Alicia says to Kalinda "I'm so angry not because you slept with Peter, but because you LIED." It would be nice for that to be made clear. (Well, my dream scenario is "I'm so pissed BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, YOU ARSE," but that's clearly not happening anytime soon, so.)

When is your exam???

I would love to see a TGW/LG crossover with Kalinda and Lauren having had a one-nighter and then running into each other for business and Lauren being all awkward and Kalinda all "........." That's actually a pairing I could see working long-term (well, as long-term as Kalinda goes), but also, Bo would have such an inferiority complex, and Alicia's face would be PRICELESS.

As for OUaT--I am! Though I missed last Sunday's episode, unfortunately, I had family commitments. For me, it's like a better version of Lost Girl--objectively, I can totally admit that it's not always a very good show, but I find it wildly entertaining, enthralling, and I always walk away from it happy. (That said, I also do think--objectively!--that it IS better than LG.) As with LG, I really watch for the characters and their relationships.

Don't you think eventually they have to have SOME kind of conversation about it? I mean, for awhile, assuming the thaw continues (IT BETTER), it'll probably just be an unspoken understanding for awhile -- but if there's any hope for TRULY restoring their friendship, there has to be some kind of catharsis there, I'm not sure I'd buy reconciliation without one. Oh, sweet sweet day when THAT happens.

My new headcanon is that Kalinda IS a succubus. And in the crossover Bo gets jealous/pissed that K's hunting on her territory, and the whole reason K has never come onto Alicia is that Lish is the only person she fears draining the life out of. This all makes PERFECT SENSE.

I find OUaT very entertaining and it is certainly a better show than LG in terms of writing/consistency -- but I'm not particularly attached to any particular characters or relationships, so it doesn't end up ranking as high as the comparatively crappy show that has the ship and characters I adore. Out of curiosity, where do you stand on the Regina/Evil Queen issue? Plenty in my circle see her as a broken soul who could be saved by love (yanno, kind of like Kalinda:-), while others think nothing can really redeem her actions at this point. Thoughts?

My great fear (seriously) is that they have that conversation AND THE SHOW DOES NOT SHOW IT TO US. Seriously. The writers LOVE to pull the "tell us something's happening but don't show it!" card. So...I really hope that doesn't happen. I think I'd prefer them not talk at all to know they talked but be unable to see it. But yes, I think eventually they have to have SOME kind of conversation. Even if it's just Kalinda apologizing again and Alicia unbending to say "I accept...the next round of tequila is on me."

Heeeeeee. My headcanon is that Kalinda was Lauren's anesthesia for the whole Nadia thing before she met Bo...and that Alicia is going to give Kalinda the REALLY? look again. Like "Agent Sexy and Sophia I totally understood, but Donna? Dana? AND NOW THIS STUTTERING SHY DOCTOR?" But I could see Kalinda being surprisingly gentle with Lauren, almost tender (because Lauren is so wounded and so NOT Kalinda's normal type), and Alicia would be soooo jealous, because she doesn't get to see that side of Kalinda, what the fuck. And Bo'd be jealous, too, of course. Dyson would find it hilarious.

Oh, see, it took me like .5 seconds to fall utterly in love with Snow White and Prince Charming, they're pretty much what I watch for. Go figure. But when they look at each other, you have to just melt! As far as the EQ goes--unredeemable. She killed her father. There is no coming back from that!

NO, NO, I MUST SEE ALL THE MAKING UP. YOU OWE ME THIS, SHOW. /fan entitlement

Seriously, though. At the bare minimum, we need a conciliatory bar scene. And if we ever got a hug, I could just retire from fandom happy.

KALINDA/HOTPANTS OTP. Only, you know, not really.:) Did you see the world's stupidest spoiler re: Kalinda and her "male companionship"? Imma need some support through this one.

Okay, here's where my tv masochism becomes super-apparent: In OUaT, I suppose I ship SW/PC in the sense that they're adorable and I wouldn't want them to end up apart. But the fact that I *know* that no matter what are the current trials, they are 100% endgame and it would never go any other way? It dulls my enthusiasm for the ship. It's like, without experiencing the lows of "omg, my ship is doomed and I see no possible way they can happen/survive/recover, and the show could very well end with them happily smooching other people and my heart will be broken," I can't experience the same kind of highs when things ARE going well for them. I should really get some therapy for that.

I... actually tend to agree about Regina/EQ. And I feel a little bad about it, because several people I know and like, adore her SO MUCH and want so badly for her to be redeemable and worthy of love. And meanwhile I'm like, buuuut... she's a serial killer. And sexually coercive. And she also kind of treats her kid like crap. Put all these things together and I have a hard time giving girlfriend the benefit of the doubt. :-\

It better be a good hug, dammit! Nice and long and Kalinda curling into Alicia. Meeeeeeow.

I didn't, but oh look, I'm SHOCKED that they're pushing another guy on Kalinda. SHOCKED.

Wow, you ARE a masochist. ;) I have to confess I don't get OUaT fandom's adoration of the EQ. I mean, yeah, she's hot and snarky and the actress does a good job, but EVIL KILLER AND RAPIST HERE. The only, ONLY way I can see Regina being even partly salvageable is through magic. Like if she got hit with some spell that both renewed her capacity to truly love AND made her feel the pain of all of her victims, or something along those lines. Anything short of that, however, would be completely unbelievable (for me).

Behold. It HAS to be Cary, right? Like, who else would they throw words like *commitment* around with?

The best part though, is where they admit that anything they do with Kalinda right now just taking up time until the A/K stuff. They even use the word "surrogate". At least they know that no one really cares about anything else, I guess.:)

This is also a potentially unpopular opinion, but I actually don't even particularly care for Lara Parilla's acting of the part of EQ. It feels overdone to me -- maybe it's par for the course for an Evil Queen to exaggerate things, but it grates a bit. So that also doesn't give me a lot of incentive to lurve her.

Whatevs! I shall enjoy all the rest.

Actually, my favorite part is where they're like "we can't give Kalinda another gf because KG got stolen out from under us." Me: "A) BullSHIT, B) THEN START SIGNING KALINDA'S LOVE INTERESTS TO CONTRACTS. SRSLY NOT THAT HARD TO FIGURE OUT." That said, given the K/C/D "triangle/threesome" they've been playing with, I also can't imagine her male love interest's not going to be Cary. Although, if they finally just pull the trigger on that AND THEN K/C CRASHES AND BURNS, it miiiight be worth it JUST SO THE K/C CRAP WOULD BE OVER.

However, yes, when they confirmed that the REAL person for Kalinda is Alicia, it made my heart grow three sizes. :) Love the surrogacy talk, because it works both ways--ALICIA has certainly found her K surrogates, too.

I *do* think LP chews the scenery sometimes, but then I wonder whether some of the stuff they have her do is so ridiculous that it wouldn't work if she wasn't OTT, yaknow? I mean, the EQ really is cartoonishly evil. But that the character works at all is, I think, a credit to LP.

It's like, without experiencing the lows of "omg, my ship is doomed and I see no possible way they can happen/survive/recover, and the show could very well end with them happily smooching other people and my heart will be broken," I can't experience the same kind of highs when things ARE going well for them.

Just saying: MYKA/HG. MYKA/HG. MYKA/HG.

Dude, good luck tomorrow on your exam!!!! :)
