Pilot Redux--An X-Files fanfic

So it has been years...lots of them...since I was immersed in the world of X-Files fanfic.  For the most part, I haven't been reading it, and I had never written any.  But I re-watched the Pilot last night for the first time in forever.  And I fell in love all over again.

I just watched the new-er movie today with one of my roommates and was remembering what a nice pair they were and how attractive to boot!

Thaaaanks lime! It's AMAZING how young and cute they look in the pilot...but is amazing too how good they still look after all these years. Sigh. I love both my Davids.

Going back to the beginning is sorta bittersweet, b/c I was wholly disappointed by how the series ended. But I try my best to forget that, and remember the magic.:)

I admit that I probably didn't see any episodes after sometime in the 1999-2000 school year (my senior year of college). I just couldn't figure out/follow the plotline anymore... :( But you're right, it was SO good at the beginning. Two Davids... so different, but both so good...

(Though incidentally, I don't really like DB pre-Bones. Too young/"pretty"? I didn't used to understand the enthusiasm for Brad Pitt either.)

I'm one of the few people who also didn't get into DB before Bones...when I saw clips from Angel/BtVS, I was like, "dude. you were kinda SCRAWNY."

So. Much. Fun. Mulder/Scully are my first ship too! I spent a lot of time rewatching various epi's this summer - getting read for the big movie. It was her voice this time that took on a tone of harshness. “Toughen up, Mulder,” she said. “Whether you like it or not, you aren’t in this alone anymore.”

This is just the most fantastic exchange - straight from the show perfect!
