You know, I loved this episode bunches, but in a weird way I enjoyed some of the other characters reactions more than Kalinda's. I recognize that I'm probably in the minority here...because of course we actually got a good dose of Kalinda AND a smidgen of A/K to boot..but beyond that second phone convo with Alicia (which I did totally love), I thought that AP wasn't quite as convincing as I've seen her. Not that I'm really criticizing - I mean AP can do no wrong with this character and there were for sure some really nice moments (like right after she covered Will's body) - I just felt like in light of some really heavy hitting performances of the night, she wasn't necessarily the one that really moved me. Which is what I'm used to from her. I'm gonna blame JM for this because ARCHIE IS PROBABLY OUT OF PRACTICE!
But in all seriousness, I thought Diane was just spot on. Cary's anger felt genuine and kinda kick ass. JM was great. It was a very nicely put together episode. And I think I really liked all the nuanced (and some not so nuanced) themes that the Kings played with throughout the hour.
And of course I can't help but be a little teeny bit excited at the prospect of some sort of future Kalicia. Even if it's only in BC. 'Cause it was gettin' quiet up in here.

My worst fandom fear is not Kalicia being canon-dead, it's BC dying. Because with the former, I still have my imagination, but with the latter, I'm just blathering to myself like a crazy person and that's just sad.

Maybe you were just ruined by anticipation of Kalinda having something meaningful rather than the dross she's had all season until last week.
I actually liked that Archie played it so quietly. No great histrionics, she just went about obtaining what she needed from the situation as it stood.
