Yesterday I was walking to get a manicure (haha) and these fools with a camera stopped me and said they "liked my look" and could they as me some questions? They were from the Rachel Ray Show! So they asked me about shorts and I basically said I hated them (even though I just bought some? i suck at improvising) becuase they bad on me and I would have to grow at least foot to look decent in them and my "alternative" is dresses and skirts. It will be on in 1-2 weeks so I am recording all the episodes hahahha. This could be my ~big break~. When I was signing the release the camera dude was like OH 5280 HUH? And I got ready to explain it for the millionth time and he got all excited and said I'M FROM EVERGREEN! Evergreen sucks but good for you!
I also have a photo shoot tomorrow in lingerie for this girl in my 'hood. The photos are going to be up at Kings County Bar and the opening is May 5th. Yes I am going to be basically naked on the wall of a bar how AWESOME is that?!?! Seriously I am really excited!
Intermix interview went well I think. The girl before me had like a portfolio for her resume and she was dressed really professional. I totally looked more Intermix-y than she did. In case you care I wore this pink DVF dress/jumper with black leggings and a black shirt underneath and the silver Tory Burch flats. One of the girls complimented me when I walked in! Anyway, the girl sounded really rushed and abrupt and I was not prepared at all for the questions. I did well on the ones about who is the Intermix customer is and all that and I know what is important to them (clienteling and how they are a "one stop shop"- they have shoes, bags, clothes, etc). When she asked what my personality was I said SHY. WHAT THE FUCK. But right after I was like "well I used to be shy but New York and working at Bloomingdales has really brought me out of my shell..." which she seemed to like. I think I have it because at the end she mentioned that Diane and I were co workers so we can't work in the same store and a store manager would be in touch next week and if not by Monday or Tuesday to call her. She said the Broadway store and the Columbus Circle store need people and I said I didn't have a preference, even though I would rather not work on the UWS. Oh well, it gets really busy over there in the summer and if some girl who worked at the Boston store can make $1500/week I can do it too!
