Evil Co-worker front

So on the evil idiot co-worker.... wednesday of last week the manager and i had a talk about what i could do about erik(basically nothing) and i'm tired of being told 'he's hostile towards you because you let him get to you' ok FINE i decided to fight fire with flowers. I've been saying Hi to Erik since thursday of last week in the most cheerful natural sounding voice i could muster.. i pretty much leave him alone the rest of the time but i don't speak in anything but a nice voice or at least good terms proffessional... jokingly saying to my manager i wondered how long it would take him to complain.... 3 days actually.

Saturday i answered balloons and after i'd been there a while he desided to come over and be an ass...the long and short of it being he did it infront of a customer who desided to stick upf or me and tell my manager what happened. I had suggested to him multiple times that he should go help the customer he was SUPOSED to be helping back at the laminators.. and he only took the hint once and came right back deciding they didn't need immediate help.. finally after i was tired of him glaring at me I Told him to go help his customer. He stomped off telling me that he'd be sure to tell linda.. at which point my customer in balloons assured me(without my prompting or sugesting) that she would let the manager know what she saw... well she told Linda, Linda talked to Erik and Erik told her that i had told him to go away.. not that i had told him to help his customer... AND he said "make her stop talking to me, i don't want her talking to me, she said HI to me!" *snerk* Linda got my version of the story which chimed with what the customer said because it was the truth and linda said i could still say hi to him since he can still make all the noises that bother me, KNOWING they bother me..(he complains about freedom of speech when it's brought up).. so yeah..... maybe he'll quit if i'm nice enough to him.
