Hey hey, everybody! It turns out it's the one year anniversary of this journal for Dani. I swear I thought it was a few days from now, my how the time flies.
I want to thank all of you guys who have welcomed me into Trek RP and have tagged with me over this past year. *hugs to you all*

"Here we are," he muttered to her under his breath. "Just stay quiet and don't make eye contact. Can you do that for me?"
She nodded and looked down as a man came out of the shadows of an alley and addressed Leonard. They spoke cryptically to each other for a few moments, then Leonard handed over a small bag and the man handed him one in return. Dani knew, because Leonard had told her beforehand, that this was some illegal chemical he wanted to experiment with in the med bay. He wouldn't tell her what it did or why it was illegal, and she thought it best no to pry.
Once the exchange was done and the bag safely tucked inside Leonard's coat, he led her away and over towards the food vendors.
"You hungry?"
"Sort of," she replied, cautiously looking over the selection.
"Pick whatever you want," he said, nodding towards the vendors yelling out what they were serving.
Finally, she pointed to a man selling frozen bananas dipped in chocolate on a stick. Leonard led her over, paid, and handed the banana to her.
"Thanks," she replied, taking a tiny nibble.
He just grunted and led her away through the crowds until they thinned and there was a park ahead, filled with statues of the Empire's most celebrated heroes.
They sat on a bench facing away from those garish statues and Dani continued on her snack.
"How is it?"
"'S good. You want a bite?" She held out the stick for him to take.
"Sure," he replied, but instead he wrapped his hand around hers and guided the banana to his mouth, taking a bite.
Dani found herself smiling at that, and an odd, warm feeling filled her.
"This is... this is like a date," she said suddenly, sounding as if she was amazed by that fact.
"A date?" Leonard snorted at that. "I don't do dates."
"But you bought me food, and held my hand, and we're in a park. I've seen movies where all that happens and that's a date."
He looked at her for a long moment, then slowly nodded. "All right, I can see your point. It's a date." Suddenly he smirked, adding, "Does this mean I get a good night kiss at the end of it?"
She pretended to ponder it, making a drawn out "mmmm..." sound as she thought. "If you're good, and a gentleman, then yes, I will."
He nearly said that he was neither, but he stopped himself, sat back on the bench, and did a bit of pondering of his own.
"Deal. Now give me another bite of that."
