Have yourself a merry little Christmas/Hannakah/_______

Dec 24, 2005 12:22

1.What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Marching Band... High School...

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Does anyone? I don't even remember mine. And I'll probably do a spur of the moment one on New Years Eve...

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My 2nd cousin in Colorado's wife. I usually see them at Christmas and that's the best I've got.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My great-uncle Bob (yesterday night) God bless his soul... =(

5. What countries did you visit?
Just here in the USA.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
More of a social life, I suck at that.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The Cape week- 7/18-7/23; NESBA winning- 11/4/05

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I really liked the whole win NESBA thing. That was pretty cool and made me feel...achieved? And almost finishing my summer reading in about 3 weeks, yeah that looked bad for awhile there.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I wish I was more outgoing rather than shy to people sometimes. It sucks.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Uh, well I was sick a few times but nothing huge. And no injuries that I can think of.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hmmm.... my Everwood DVDs.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Uh... I'm not sure of someone who did anything that amazing.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Can I say someone I don't know? Okay then. Les Moonves. The CBS guy who cancelled Joan of Arcadia. AKA my favorite show. AKA me being a freak who knows the evil man's name. Yeah. Him. Oh and Johnny Damon too. Not that I'm wicked obsessed with the Sox or anything but I do watch enough to care. And his most recent interview was a smack in the face to every single Red Sox fan. So that was pretty "appalling".

14. Where did most of your money go?
Christmas shopping. I actually saved most of my money this year and then it all went *poof* last week.

15. What did you get really excited about?
High school. Like excited/nervous via the summer before. And just growing up, I guess.

16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
Any song that plays a ton during the summer of a year always reminds me of the year. So pick any of those constant-playing-pop-songs. Like "You and Me"- Lifehouse, "We belong together"- Mariah Carey, or such not.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Neither. Just older. Not really old or anything but different. In a good way, I guess. I see things differently each year.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Hanging out with my friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Biting my nails. WAIT! That was what my new years resolution was. And it didn't work... Told you I broke it.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I don't know anymore. With such things going on in my mom's family part...

21. Did you fall in love in 2005?
Not IN LOVE. Just a bunch of little crushes and stuff.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Joan of Arcadia.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope. Same people are disliked. I don't really hate people.

26. What was the best book you read?
Sarah Dessen- "This Lullaby", I loved that book! And of course Harry Potter and the HBP

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Green Day. Yeah, I like them. And The Killers' "Hot Fuss" CD is pretty good too.

28. What did you want and get?
Some new friends.

29. What did you want and not get?
A lot of stuff.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
"Charlie and the Choc. Factory" remake. That was so weird/creepy/funny/good.

31. What did you do on your birthday?
Went to a movie and out to eat.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I can't really say one thing. Because you don't know for sure unless you have it, correct?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
Horrible. I hate half my clothes. I need new ones.

34. What kept you sane?
My friends. My kitties. Stuff like that.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Fancy? What's with that?

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
All the disasters. Tsunamis, Katrina, etc. So horrible.

37. Who do you miss?
The real, old, true MSPCA Bands of Mercy (I left once it changed completely)

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Why's there have to be a best? And even so, why should I disclose that information?

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005.
To just not let anything pull you down. Just keep going.

Amen.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

Okay, I can't do this. I never can just think of song lyrics. Move on.

Happy Holidays everyone.

In memory of: Robert Melin: 12/24/28- 12/23/05 Today would have been his 77th birthday...
