Well, it's been awhile since I've posted anything on my own LJ. But due to all the craziness happening in the new season of Vampire Diaries, I've decided it's best that I stop debating with myself like a crazy person (people were beginning to stare) and just put my thoughts down here. So if you don't watch TVD, or still need to get caught up, I

I'm pissed at Elena for how she handled herself this episode. I get she's pissed at Damon, as she should be, but she stooped to HIS level. To Katherine's level, and when one goes that far out of their way to get back at someone, there is more behind it than just anger. Elena is trying to convince herself that she shouldn't like Damon, and as a D/E shipper, I think it's because she wants him, but is wrestling with the fact that OMG HE'S EVIL! In other words, "Methinks the lady doth protest too much."
Also, I literally screamed at the TV "I KNEW IT!" when Damon came clean about the ring. I've believed from the get go that he didn't see it.
I still despise Bonnie too. Girlfriend has some issues.
I totally ship Stefan/Caroline. They are way too cute together and have some great chemistry.
Also, my favorite thing about this episode? The return of TEAM BADASS!
Edited to add Best Line of the Night:
Damon: If you want to see me naked, all you have to do is ask.
I'm asking.... ;)

*This* is what interested me the most about the episode. What we saw in Bad Moon Rising was soooo unlike anything Elena's done in the past. Not that Elena was a paragon of virtue or anything, but we've never seen her purposefully use anyone before. And in this ep, she not only uses Damon to get info, but also uses her own boyfriend to piss off Damon. That is NOT an Elena move. That's pure Katherine, baby.
I'm beginning to think that they're setting up a darkening in Elena's character to mirror a character shift for Stefan as well. And I'm sure much conflict to the S/E relationship will surely follow. But while I'll be happy to see S/E go under, I don't think I want it to happen because Elena loses herself just as much as Stefan, if that makes any sense. I want her to realize that she has to be better than that, and then that will make her realize that Stefan has been changing just as much as her in response to Katherine's arrival.

LOL, yeah that might as well be printed all over Elena's shirt in every scene she shares with Damon. ^_^

Ugh. It's funny, 'cause I didn't really hate her last year. I was indifferent to her, if anything. I get that she hates Damon and Stefan, whatever. But... Caroline? Really?! WTF?!! Bonnie has some effed up logic if she actually considers Caroline responsible for Carney Carter's death.
What pisses me off about Bonnie the most is that she takes absolutely *no* responsibilty for her own part in everything bad that's happened to her. She thinks Damon/Stefan are responsible for Grams' death? Maybe they led up to the situation in the tomb, but it was Bonnie begging Grams to help her that made the lady do the spell in the end. *Bonnie* was the one who lied about de-spelling the device, instead of just being upfront with Elena and saying that she wouldn't do it on principle, which is what got Caroline in the hospital in the first place. And *Bonnie* is the one who was all for Damon giving Caroline the blood, while Elena was against it. Anything that Caroline did as a baby vamp falls pretty much squarely on Bonnie's shoulders. Maybe the writers will be able to save her character if they stop making her such a hypocrite, but at this point I'm not holding my breath.
Team Badass = Pure win! Though I could use some more next time, pretty please?

LOL, just too perfect. The whole whisper scene was utter perfection, especially his over-the-shoulder look at Elena after the "jackass" comment.
I love Damon. *sigh*
