I hate this:
The Arizona House on Monday approved a measure urging Congress to pass and send the states a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
I like this man:
"In passing this we are seeking to deny civil rights to people who pay their taxes, obey the law and want to be responsible," said Democratic Rep. Phil Lopes of Tucson.
I couldn't agree more.
:Sigh: With reading a lot of stuff on this issue lately because of my personal morality class it all makes me sad.
I am strongly for gay marriage.
After talking to people about it my view comes from my non-religious look on marriage.
Maybe my non-religious view on life.
But all in all I think it's denying people of their civil rights and is just as bad as banning certain types of people from voting.
That was seen as the right thing to do a while back and now banning gay marriage is seen as the right thing to do now.
Hopefully eyes will be open and tolerance will result.
Until then I will continue to be an example of tolerance and acceptance of gays as people who should share in the same rights.
That's just what I think though.
You may think what you want... and so will I.
