As opposed to "Easter Bunnies are so overrated". "Overreacted" is a past-tense verb and I can't make sense out of it in that context.

Overrated? But the word is overreacted. The expression. Like something is too overreacted. To give too much credit to something (something you think doesnt deserve this credit...)
