this just in: i'll be having a close encounter of the geetard kind on march 6. he's going to the school of visual arts (his alma mater) to discuss his cartooning with students (and lurkers like me!). good and matching-tattooed friend lauren the photography student is providing the hookup. she called me this morning like a spy, all whispery and full of stealth, and told me she was going to sign me up for it and for me to get to sva early so we could wait in line "because i heard it might fill up quickly."
