Getting ready to head back to Halifax after spending a long weekend in Cape Breton. It was a good weekend and a not so good weekend, depending on how you look at it. :-)
Saturday was great. The sun was out, the weather was warm and we managed to get a lot done. I helped Grandad with some grass cutting (basically so he wouldn't try to start it himself...), moving dirt from point A to point B, and so on. Tristan and I tried out the new kayak, where we tried to get stuck in the middle of the lake (don't ask), while watching Michael as he scuba-dived. Got back to the wharf with a piece of Michael's treasure (an old bottle he found on the bottom of the lake).
Sunday was a good start until a major migraine hit me and I was out for the count for the rest of the day. Slept most of the afternoon, tried to eat some crackers, couldn't keep them down and slept again for most of the evening. Not fun...
Woke up early this morning (after having slept for about twelve hours), so got some things done. Went for a walk to the graveyard at the top of the property to take some photos for Mom. Came back just before it started to pour rain...
Now to finish packing, have tea with my grandparents and head back to Halifax. This is going to be a fun drive... NOT!
