Just got home from a weekend home in Cape Breton. Left Friday afternoon at 1 p.m., after picking up some tropical fish for Mom. The drive up took me six hours, due to three road construction areas, and three sets of the driving dead... Got to the house in time for dinner. Spent the rest of the night watching a movie with my brother.
Saturday was spent doing very little. Slept late, helped Mom make lunch, puttered around the yard taking pictures, had tea with my grandparents and Great Uncle Ralph and Lucy. Went for a long walk on the beach with the dog after that. Helped Grandad with some yard work, picked some blackberries and wild blueberries with Tristan. Made dinner and then Mom and I watched "The Notebook". All in all, a very nice "did as little as possible day"
Today, I went over to the garage to see Dad's new toy. Dad just got a new Suzuki motorcycle, which, for someone like me who isn't too keen on them in the first place, it was nice. Dad thought it was great that I actually sat on the bike. The little dog tried to get up on the bike with me, which was kind of funny.
Left at 4 p.m. after tea. Got back to Halifax at quarter after nine. Long drive, with only one construction zone to worry about, however, there were some driving dead again...
Now, to unpack and get ready to go back to work tomorrow.
